Dr. Shannon Terry, Vice President of National Strategic Accounts, brings to SAFARI Montage a diverse set of professional experiences at the national, state, and local levels. In her current role, she works closely with school districts to provide strategic vision and direction on implementing and effectively leveraging SAFARI Montage solutions in their digital ecosystems. Dr. Terry comes to the company from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) where she worked as the Division Director of Program Integration Strategy. Prior to TEA, Shannon served as the Executive Director of Professional and Digital Learning for Dallas Independent School District (TX). With more than thirty (30) years experience in different educational settings, Shannon has developed a deep understanding of urban, suburban, and rural school systems. She enjoys leading and contributing to innovative, transformational educational efforts and oftentimes can be found seeking out ways to influence the larger political, social, and cultural context for students. Dr. Terry was recognized by the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) as the 2020 District Administrator of the Year. Teams she led in Arlington ISD and Dallas ISD also received the Learning Forward Team Excellence Award for the state of Texas in 2018 and 2020 respectively. Dr. Terry possesses a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership, Masters of Bilingual Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Shannon married her high school sweetheart, James. They have two adult children. Their daughter, Autumn, is a NICU nurse in Dallas. Their son, John-Charles, graduated from Texas Tech University and recently established a calf-cow operation (JCAT Cattle Co.) in Rush Springs, Oklahoma.
