In 1989 world leaders made commitment to children by adopting the convention on the “Rights of the Child . These rights as noted by UNICEF emphasized that every child health, education, equality and protection are needed to advance humanity.
The tenants of the convention was incorporated into the MDGs as reflected on MDG 2. With specific reference to the unmet MDG 2, twenty years later, both the convention and the MDG 2 are yet to be a reality for all.
25 years after educators, Child and human rights advocates notes that the global Education system with particular reference to developing communities, have challenges and unmet needs which has serious negative impact and consequences.
How can we address the existing challenges on all of the convention of rights of the child, the gaps between when it was ratified and the twenty years review.
What do you ensure that education along with rights of children will contribute to standalone goal and imperative for a Transformative Post 2015 Sustainable Development Agenda.
