This session is a deep dive into different aspects of global education and how they work together to develop students to be better learners, better people, and contributors to a better world.
The session will focus on dimensions of global education for the primary/elementary years, how to understand your current practice, and take the next step to elevate it. The following dimensions of global education will be discussed:
- Discovering Ourselves and Others
- Embracing Shared Values
- Building Relationships
- Exploring Our Interconnected World
- Making Informed Choices
- Creating Change through Innovation
A schoolwide approach to global education will be emphasized and the session will be conducted in a workshop-type model. Participants will have the chance to reflect on what their school is currently doing, share practices with other participants, discuss barriers, and consider different ways to progress.
