Excuse the multiple crossposting, but I thought U.S teachers might be interested in the Doodle for Google contest, geared for students in grades K - 12. Students are invited to draw their own embellished Google logo, aka a Google doodle, using the theme, "What if...?". Teachers are encouraged to help students think outside the box on this theme. For sample lesson plans and additional details, please visit the announcement on the official Google blog. I'm also posting a couple of relevant videos in the video section here. While this may not seem like a global education project, you could have students ponder What if questions related to global issues and the like.
