Everyone is welcome to attend our first official GEC advisory board meeting!! We will be using an online conference tool called Flashmeeting. One person speaks at a time using audio or video. Others can chat in a chatroom, share links, and even vote. Everything is archived for those who cannot attend the live event.
Scheduling is tricky when working across time zones. Here is a link to a clock showing board member times and locations:

Here is a link to our Flashmeeting page. I think I've done it correctly. http://flashmeeting.open.ac.uk/fm/94da89-12750 You can enter the meeting as a guest, but it's recommended that you get an account beforehand. It will probably take us a few minutes to get used to Flashmeeting, so be prepared to play a bit!
1) How can we draw a wider audience and balance some of the US centricism?
2) Should we offer a survey to see what people are looking for?
3) Are there some monthly activities we could sponsor for the adults to get to know each other better, and hence, find partners for collaboration?
4) How can the ning be better organized to help people find what they are looking for?
5) How should we proceed if people are interested in developing a global awareness curriculum?
Anything else we need to discuss? Feel free to suggest other ideas.
Thanks!
Lucy Gray
