I'm beginning to plan a project for middle years students to study the Holocaust. I'd like to start the project in October, 08 and run for approximately two months. I would like to incorporate a lit. study using books such as Daniel's Story and Number the Stars where the students would work in groups using wikispaces. Anyone interested in having a class participate?

Hi Kimberly
I'm interested in your proposal. We finish our school year late December here but October is the start of our last term so it could work. I teach a group of 11 to 13 year olds and while we are looking at Anzac Day at present and touching slightly on World War One I would be keen to investigate the Holocaust with these students.

Glad to see you in the chat last night! It was difficult for me to babble and text chat at the same time, but I noticed you were there! Hope you get more responses to your Holocaust project from some of the people in the chat room!
I like how you're planning ahead, Kimberly! I hope other teachers, at least on the US school calendar, will start thinking now about projects for next year. Long ranging planning might be help facilitate more participation. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for classes to join in.
