Hi - I am planning an 'International Art' project for this Autumn term (September through December 2007) with my mixed KS2 class (ages 7-11) and we are looking for a partner school(s) around the world. The plan is for children to suggest a list of local (ie. country or even town level) Artists for the partner schools to study and in return study a suggested 'local' Artist from the partner school's 'local' list.
For example - our school is in Dartmouth so the children would probably suggest Simon Drew, Simon Hart or even Robert Lenkiewicz on their list for their partner school to study/copy.
By the end of term (Christmas) a PowerPoint calendar would be produced in collaboration, with pictures made by children from different schools in the style of their chosen artist for each month. We could then publish it on a slideshare site for all to view. I have attached a more detailed plan if anyone is interested.Possible Timetable for International Artists Project.doc
