I am about to embark on a project with my 6th grade which I have called A Better World. The students are going to compose their own rap songs based on global issue, using GarageBand. These rap songs will then be used in the creation of short "splice and dub" videos by students using iMovie.
I created a wiki which is still a work in progress, but will be used to embed the student projects and link to relevant resources and lessons. One other school has come on board with this and we were hoping to get others interested, if not in the video/podcast aspects, in creating some type of multimedia project based on global themes.
