Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

During this session, attendees will learn how to set up an international school partnership and how to design effective SDG learning experiences. In alliance with the United Nations, Lindenhurst (U.S.A.) and Sandvika (Norway) High Schools are modeling how youth around the world can make a difference on our planet. Each Norwegian student has been partnered with an American student to work on one of the 17 goals. In September 2017, the Sandvika students came to Lindenhurst to work on the goals; Lindenhurst students will be visiting Sandvika in March 2018.  Faculty, business owners, and politicians are mentoring each pair as they collaborate on their selected goal. To guide this journey, students are exploring how their governments are responding to the Global Goals challenge. They are also learning how communication, cultural understanding, and empathy are vital to making their work a reality.

    Linda,

Can you make a few minor changes to your proposal? First, the formatting is off in your full description and you might want this paragraph to look similar to the first part of your proposal. Secondly, can you also add a brief description of what will happen and be covered in your session? It would also be helpful to list the potential benefits for your intended audience. For instance, you could add, "Attendees will learn to set up a successful international school partnership and will learn how to design effective learning experiences. "

Once you've made these changes, I'll be happy to approve this. Just let me know when you have made these changes.

    Lucy Gray
