Having grown up through the age of computers and technology, with a deep interest in mathematics, I have spent nearly 30 years working with technology in the largest corporations in Australia.

During my time learning that a large aspect of the make-up of the best technologists was introversion and technical communication, I also realised the value of communication and leadership skills - some might refer to "herding cats" as the main skill required.

To explore more about the topic, as well as to improve my own skills, I joined Toastmasters International (a training and development organisation of some 300,000 members globally) more than 20 years ago, and starting business, executive and communication coaching businesses in the last 5 years. Realising the limiting capabilities of technology in Toastmasters, and the boundless opportunities with Social Media, I was an early adopter of such technology globally.

I tweeted results and learnings from our convention - a meeting of Toastmasters across half of Australia - about 6 years ago; probably a first in Toastmasters world-wide.

I now am an active participant in many online communities, and leader of several; most focused on educating for business, coaching, public speaking or technology.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, I provide consulting services to corporations and small businesses; and perform ad-hoc consultancy and mentoring via Zintro etc., through a range of online communications.
