Actionable Innovations Community Notes: Unrulr, ISTE, and More

February 10, 2023

Our hearts this week are with our community members in Syria and Turkey. There are approximately 125 people from these two countries in our primary community located at actionableinnovations.global. Here is a lesson plan about the earthquake disaster from the New York Times, and we encourage you to support various charities working in the region. Here is some advice on donating wiselya helpful list of charities to consider, and an article about international aid efforts. Our friends at Goodable have a fantastic Twitter thread worth perusing; it documents some heroes in this terrible situation.

Please join us Friday, February 21st, for a rescheduled Actionable Innovations Conversation with Aaron Schorn of Unrulr. Unruler is an educational technology tool for documenting learning. We’re excited to chat with Aaron Schorn and learn more about his fascinating background in education. On March 17th, our guest will be Bob Greenberg of the Brainwaves Video Anthology; details to come.

We are also thrilled to announce that we are hosting the Global Collaborator Meetup at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference in June. This event will be similar to the event formerly known as Global Education Day and will feature ignite talks, networking activities, and global education resources. More details are forthcoming, but if you represent an organization that would like to support the meetup, please reach out.

Thank you,

Lucy Gray, Co-Founder, Actionable Innovations Global, lucy@globaledevents.com

Opportunities Spotted Around the Web

Professional Learning Survey

Are you interested in attending or presenting at virtual education conferences? We want to hear from you!

The Actionable Innovations Global team is now planning future virtual professional development events beyond the last November’s GLOW conference. We would appreciate your valuable input on topics that could serve as event themes. The following survey should take less than 10 minutes, depending on your role in education. *Please respond by February 28, 2023.*

Included in the survey are specific questions for consultants, and those interested in educational technology, as we’re particularly interested in hosting a few events around these topics.
