Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Welcome, teachers! We’re happy to announce that we’ve designed an easy-to-use, introduction to foster global competency through intercultural learning (ICL), just for you and your students. This classroom experience is also meant to expose students to the notion of global citizenship as a journey - and not a finite destination. By exploring different ICL topics, students will be challenged to think critically about pressing world issues and the important role of youth in promoting peace. As a leader in intercultural learning, AFS-USA understands the significance of incorporating global learning with important 21st century skills such as cross-cultural collaboration and communication in the school setting. Participants will be walked through a guided demo of Culture Trek: Classroom Connections, AFS-USA's new, intercultural eLearning tool, and will be invited to use it in their own classrooms.
