Co-Chair

Dear GEC Community Members:

How appropriate that today is Human Rights Day (http://www.un.org/en/events/humanrightsday/), the same day that Nelson Mandela is put to rest. As I've watched coverage on TV of his celebration of life today, I'm reminded of our conference and of our many community members, inspired by his example, who continue to work with colleagues and youth to make this world a better and more just place. Let his legacy continue to remind us that there is still a great of work to be done.

On a more mundane note, I'm pleased to announce that I've completed requests for volunteer, attendee and presenter certificates for the 2013 Conference. They will be posted online for download until January 31, 2013.

Personalized certificates for the 2013 GlobalEdCon have been created for those who submitted requests through a posted form. We had checks in place regarding these requests. Attendees were required to reflect on what they learned at the conference in a brief blog post and provide the direct link to this post in their form submission. Volunteers needed to moderate conference sessions, attend an advisory board meeting, and/or partake in other conference endorsed volunteer activities. And, presenters needed to provide the title to their presentation and the link to their session recording.

The request for personalized certificates is now closed; if you attended and need a certificate, you can download a blank certificate here, print it out, and fill it in accordingly: http://goo.gl/EQDHz6. This is for attendees only.

Volunteer certificates can be downloaded here: https://app.box.com/s/00sq5t28t4lnqqwyg2hy.

Attendees certificates can be downloaded here: https://app.box.com/s/l80rzryfqv3m7r97hl0r.

Presenter certificates can be downloaded here: https://app.box.com/s/cjubolfbhhvckkim6nin

Thank you to all who made our 2013 conference happen. We appreciate the professional generosity exhibited by all of our attendees, volunteers, and presenters! Don't forget, too, that our conference keynote presentations are now available on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/user/globaledcon/)/.

Best wishes,

Lucy Gray

For some reason about 8 presenter certificates were created, but not uploaded to my Box.net folder. I double checked and uploaded the missing ones... they are mostly people with N as a first initial!
