This session will focus on using New Media Technology to encourage teachers and students to engage in becoming more active citizens of the world with the MY HERO Project!
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
Becoming more active citizens of the world using New Media with MY HERO will be an exciting innovative session! "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are" is our theme. There is a wide range of new technology that can be useful in creating media to promote issues you care about. We want to support your efforts to create call’s to action with your students. Some possible outcomes include: a digital poster, an original song, a video PSA, a powerpoint or an educational ORGANIZER PAGE showcasing all your students works. As Director of Media Arts Education and Film Festivals, Wendy will share her expertise in using new media for positive social change. Wendy is available to offer feedback on Active Citizen projects as they are being developed:media@myheroproject.org
