Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

Through global collaborative projects, elementary students from California reach beyond their walls to meet and learn alongside students across the country and around the world.

Purpose & Objectives

Skyping with Belgium and New Zealand, rocking with the world, exchanging monsters with Turkey, sending peaceful art to Mali, collaborating with Turkey on the NAIS Challenge 20/20 project. These are just a few of the creative connections our Kindergarten through Sixth Grade students have made.

Learn how your students can become involved in projects such as:

Rock Our World
Global Art Project
Monster Exchange
What is Community?
Weather Pals
Community Connections
Follow Me Project
NAIS Challenge 20/20
…and more

Transform curricular topics such as geography, math, language arts, music, visual arts, and social studies into global collaborative projects. Stretch your curriculum as you reach across the globe. Walk away with collaboration ideas you can use in your classroom.

Project artifacts and student work samples from a variety of global learning collaborations will be shared, including but not limited to: music tracks, videos, magazines, blogs, digital stories, and digital project samples

  • Hi Jayme, I think that your proposal is also relevant to 2012Teachers strand. Would you consider adding it so those who search for 2012 Teachers will find it as well. Just go up to options>edit your tags and add it next to 2012Curricular. Thanks
