Online Blended Schooling
While the concept of "Online Blended Schooling" may have been an oxymoron once, it isn't any longer.
What if there was a way to build educational campuses that required no materials, no maintenance, no heat, light, plumbing, or paint? What if those schools came equipped with all the multimedia tools necessary to teach, and students could show up to class from wherever they lived without needing to travel, shower, or bring a lunch? What if students from around the world could meet face to face without fear of bullying or violence? What if your classes could range from one to one meetings, to classes of over 200 students, have virtually 100% attendance, and eliminate "the 60% dilemma"? What if you discovered that we were doing this now at our school? Would you be interested to hear about it?
This is a methodology that is going both mobile and global. If a student can get the internet on their smartphone, tablet, or computer, they'll be able to attend live classes and work either synchronously or asynchronously on their academics. If you ignore this disruptive technology at the expense of both your students and your organization. The future is now, and the many students around the world are not well served by being made to wait. This is especially true of many students in developing countries, or those in which the dominant cultural influence makes schooling unsafe for girls, and often boys as well.
The methodology I'm using and developing has the potential to effect positive change globally through facilitating collaboration and understanding among students around the world. I am hoping that this will be a vision that many will wish to embrace.

Hello,
what time is the conference?
Fahima
I look forward to collegial learning in your session.
Thanks Dr. Dev. I hope the time I've booked is convenient for you. Gord
Hi Gord -
I'd like you to elaborate on the global implications in your proposals. As you know, our mission is not focused on technology: http://www.globaleducationconference.com/notes/The_GEC_Mission_Stat... and this is not a general education conference. You mention global, but I think it would be helpful to explain this a bit further in your session description in order to attract attendees.
Use the options button in the upper right hand corner to edit your proposal, and let me know when you've finished. I'll review it again then!
Thanks,
Lucy
