Whether we like it or not, the world is changing. Technology has made it easy for students and teachers to communicate and learn about one another from disparate regions of the globe-a feat that we could only dream of thirty years ago. With our increasingly interconnected world, governments, employers, and educational institutions are becoming more global. In order for our youth to thrive in today's world, they must be globally minded. This session will define the World Affairs Council-Washington, DC's 10 Core Competencies for global education and give educators the tools to incorporate them into the classroom.
