Social Media Curator and Curation is the next big thing around the social web still 2011 and for this reason I launch #edtech20 #socialmedia #curation project gateway to knowledge in #education20 .Curators promote interaction, collaboration, as well as education around the topics that are important to them . The Internet Curator's role is to seek on the web information related to a specific domain, filter them, select them, organise, present them . The objective is to obtain information from the whole word, to qualify this information and to share it with other people because Curation can use aggregation tools to uncover/discover things and very important curator can obtain feedback from his audience .   Nowadays  Curator has become a trendy word on the internet, announcing for some a new revolution in web information management.More and more information is available on the net, social networks, blogs, websites.... Sourcing the web (identification of pertinent sources) is not easy. The Curator offers guidance in this.Till now, sorting information on the web has been done mainly by search engines through algorythms. But only the first pages of search results are read. With the appearance of Curators, data is not automatically assembled, but selected by humans who understand what they do and are able to qualify the information.
Brian Solis write also in his website about curation and curators who play an important role in the evolution of new media, the reach of material information, and the social nicheworks that unite as a result. Curators promote interaction, collaboration, as well as education around the topics that are important to them. As such, services that empower curators will fill the void between creation and consumption. Forrester’s estimation of consumers of social content will erode from 70% to much lower numbers as many ease into social networking through curation – sharing with others the content that captivates their attention.  The ease of doing so forever converts the static consumer into a productive curator or perhaps one day, a full fledged creator. 
With creation and curation increasing the exchange of information commerce, we are moving new media toward the mainstream creating bridges between social and traditional media and the people who connect around related information. As such, what you discover and equally what you share creates an information economy rich with contextual and topical relevance linked through shared experiences. Nowadays I use more than 30 social media curation tools but my top ten are next : scoopit, pearltrees, bo.lt, postano , livebinders, redux, storify, chirpstory,quora .

My #edtech20 project is continuation of the project ,, Teach, learn, play in 21st Century using web 2.0, social media used in an e-Safe way in education 2.0 " who was finalist project in ELEARNING Awards 2010 , runner up in the cathegory Enisa Silver Award for teaching online Safety organized by European Schoolnet .

    This proposal still needs to fit within the mission of the conference. Avoid focusing on technology and tools exclusively.

Your proposal looks promising, but could benefit from some additional language that ties your work to the conference theme of global collaboration. Your proposed session may imply global collaborations and connections, but we need to see more explanation of how your work ties into our mission.  The conference seeks to present ideas, examples and initiatives related to connecting educators and classrooms around the world with an emphasis on promoting global awareness and instilling global competency in students. This is not a general education conference nor a technology conference. Please review your submission and adjust accordingly, so that participants clearly understand how your work fits into the mission of the conference.
