Full Session Description (as long as you would like): 

Out of Eden Learn is a unique online learning community designed to accompany journalist Paul Salopek's Out of Eden Walk. Through Out of Eden Learn, students from around the world engage in Paul’s 8 - 9 year journey following the path of human migration. Students will explore their own neighborhoods, investigate contemporary global issues, and reflect on how they as individuals fit into a broader geographical and historical context. They will share their projects and perspectives on Out of Eden Learn's digital platform with other peers in schools across the world. If you like Quadblogging or seek ways to connect your students with an authentic audience, this is the project for you! In addition to doing activities that promote inquiry and a connection to your local community via slow journalism, students will develop strong literacy skills, along with digital citizenship skills. Out of Eden Learn is an initiative of Project Zero at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education.
