Building Global Opportunities Together--Anywhere, Anytime was a phenomenal learning experience for students and teachers in the project and is bound to continue to provide participants and others with many more learning experiences. The wiki that the students created will be used by many others groups in the future as a resource for classes developing wikis, for information about Treaties and Treaty relationships, by TRCM in their presentations and as a resource for Native Studies classes, for students learning to create Photosynths, how to be digital citizens, how to collaborate globally, and many more opportunities.
This session will describe the process and objectives for this Microsoft Innovative Teacher project which has won a spot to compete in the International Microsoft Global Forum 2011 in Washington, D.C. Eva Brown, the lead project teacher, along with her pre-service teachers, will present the session about collaboration between two Manitoba schools--one urban and one rural/northern.
