In this session, students who have studied abroad with the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) language scholarship will share their experiences while living abroad and share how these experiences have affected their lives. Alums will also discuss strategies for how to utilize the abroad experience after returning home, in terms of continuing language studies, keeping the experience relevant in daily life, and seeking new opportunities.
This session will explore:
- The benefits and effects of study abroad.
- Steps to continue language learning after returning home.
- How to use the study abroad experience to help attain future goals.
