Short Session Description (one line): Creating, implementing, and executing a 21st century learning design project.
Full Session Description (as long as you would like): In an effort to enhance students' effective contribution to real-world problems, we have introduced students to a cross-curricular water conservation unit, and we have a few tips and tricks to offer other teachers who are attempting to explore 21st century learning design within their classroom. For example, students have had/will have contact with local water organizations and National Geographic experts in order to gain relevant knowledge and an understanding of the water crisis. Ideas for implementing 21st century learning design will not only reflect possibilities within the Language Arts/English classroom, but across the core curriculum subjects. We will also discuss ideas for effective public, student-directed, products that impact the local and worldwide communities.
