Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Furthering the successful collaboration of the United Nations and several corporate/NGO partners, Reading With Pictures enacts its mission to Get Schools into Comics and Comics into Schools. One way we do this is by providing individual comics and comics creation opportunities for classrooms, libraries, and other Out of School Time (OST) organizations.
This session will focus on delivering effective SDG instruction and professional development to target audiences interested in growing global competency and literacy. Borrowing from Talent Development, Young Entrepreneurship, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) disciplines, we will introduce the audience to some successful comics' creation concepts.
