Short Session Description: Communicate with Your School Community and Your World Using 21st Century Communication Tools
Full Session Description:
Today’s families are looking for a high level of constant communication with their children’s schools. They are involved and want clear, correct and detailed information. Many of our parents travel for business, have extended family outside of the United States or are deployed military. Communicating to our global school community demands Administrative Leadership and the use 21st century tools.
Learn how one small elementary school communicates real time information to families and other schools using Facebook, webpages, Twitter, Ustream, email and video; and how all staff members leverage available tools to provide complete and timely information to our extended community.
See how this kind of communication demonstrates excellence in professional practice and encourages parent involvement, engagement and positive perception. This communication also allows us to become a part of the global education community. We continue to communicate with the SAV School in Nepal and with deployed military in Afghanistan. We follow (and are followed by) schools and teachers from around the world. Our students and teachers are part of the Global Education Community.
