Short Session Description (one line): Comparing Experiences of Global Participants in Threaded Discussions

Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Given the different structure of instructor-student relationships in Western versus Asian countries, we need additional information about the experiences of students who interact in asynchronous threaded discussions. This session will include a presentation of recent findings from the collaborative research of Barb (USA) and Ava (Thailand) with conversation around the interpretations and implications of these findings in terms of design, delivery, and facilitation of threaded discussions with global participants.
