Conference Deadline Extended - October GEC News

Might help if I spelled my co-chair's name correctly! This is what happens when one is rushing to get things done....here's a re-post of the news that I sent earlier tonight!

Lucy Gray

Greetings GEC members from Augusta, Maine where I've been conducting workshops this week. This afternoon's session focused on global collaborations, and hopefully many tech savvy Maine educators will be joining and participating in our community. As some of you may already know, Maine has been on the forefront of educational technology with their laptop initiativeand many educators are eager to connect viacollaborative projects!

In other news, my co-chair, Steve Hargadon, and I would like to announce an extension for the call for proposals for our 2011 conference. We will start accepting proposals on a rolling basis soon, and information about partnerships and sponsorship opportunities is now available. Many thanks to our founding partner,iEARN-USA, and sponsoring partner, Flat Classroom Projects. We also look forward to working with our many partner organizations to get the word out about our event, scheduled to take place November 14-18, 2011.

In other news, make sure to check out these recent posts to the discussion forum:

Stay tuned for an exciting announcement about our upcoming keynote speakers! More later about this!

Thanks,

Lucy Gray
