“Connecting India Around The World” is a presentation project that aims at connecting the Indian culture, traditions and heritage with countries around the globe.
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
India is one of the oldest civilizations of the world. India is a colorful land of Unity in Diversity. It comprises of varied cultures and traditions.
In “Connecting India Around The World” project grade 3 and 4 students have prepared eight presentations to demonstrate the different aspects about India like:-
- Map of India
- Flag of India
- National symbols of India
- National monuments of India
- Famous leaders of India
- Unity in diversity
- Patriotic rhymes/poems about India both in English and Hindi
- Dance by the students on a patriotic song
The students connect with countries across the world through Skype/Google Hangout to learn about the different cultures in interesting and exciting ways in order to drive the learning experience.The students will be able to differentiate and appreciate the difference in culture, traditions and customs to become Globally Aware and Competent Students.
The total time duration of the presentation is of 40 minutes. At the end of the presentation the students can ask questions or give their feedback to have a better understanding of the differences between cultures of the countries.
In the final session of the presentation the audience take a quiz and vote in poll on Edmodo.The pictures, quarries and feedback about the project can also be shared in the assignment section on Edmodo.
