Short Session Description (one line): Engaging students to socialize and at the same time enhance their mastery of language/s through online apps and resources that gamify and reinforce their learning
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
In order to know what a person speaking in a different language is saying, one must translate his/her statement. Oftentimes, people rely to online translators available on the internet but the problem with this is that the results are not always accurate. Here is where comprehension and application of what is learned comes in - which apparently is what the computer still lacks. This session will focus on fostering students' retention of what they have learned through the help of applications that would gamify review sessions of what has been taught, which would then enhance their learning and foster student engagement. We will introduce applications and resources that would gamify and reinforce what the students know, and als otargets the students' comprehension and application of the concepts learned. We are hoping that the students would communicate better and be globally connected by interacting with the people online
