Full Session Description (as long as you would like): This presentation will examine the impact of bringing together exchange students with their peers back home through live virtual connections, during which the exchange students engage in digital storytelling about their experiences abroad. Specifically, alumni of the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) program will discuss the impact that presenting their multimedia and about their experiences abroad with their peers back home had on them as they reflected on and processed their experiences abroad. Additionally, an educator and her students who participated in a live virtual connection with some of these students will speak about the impact that taking part in such an event had on them.
