We are looking for Sixth graders or 12-13 year olds in India and the Sudan to compare data about their daily lives with students in the U.S. This is a math project that we are trying to integrate into the social studies curriculum.
Eventually, we would love to Skype the classes or exchange letters/photos.
Can't wait to meet you and your class :)

Hi Liz,
I don't know if you're interested in communicating with a South African class but I had a great experience last week with one of our GEC members, Errol Keet, and his students and principal. He is a very impressive educator who has set up a global classroom of which I am now a member. I am sad that we are the end of our school year because I am looking forward to working with them more. His website is www.nederburgvirtualschool.org. If you e-mail Errol he will guide you in what to do to join. There are a few other U.S. schools, one in Canada, and one in Taiwan.

Liz,
Did you have any luck with this request? I am looking for the same thing for my 7th graders in NC for any country in our curriculum (Africa, Asia, Australia). Would love to hear the outcome of your request and any advice you have for me.
Thanks,
Tiffany
Hi Tiffany,
I unfortunately have had no luck. The only responses that I received were an inappropriate spammer and you! Please let me know if you find anything for next year and I will do the same.
Have you searched the member list here and directly reached out to anyone? I think we have one Sudanese member and several from India. Just a thought.... I need to think about how we can bring people together more efficiently!
