Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
When we build and design projects and begin to create global collaborative projects, we often do so without having a framework in which to assess the success of the new curriculum design.
Two years ago, I was introduced to TPACK, a framework which resonated with me as it looks at the areas of content, pedagogy, and technology, and more importantly, the intersections of these ideas as a way to assess what we are doing in this 21st Century world. This is the initial framework for which to begin the redesign in order to build new global and social justice projects.
Over the past 20 months, we began redefining our learning with a renovation of our high school. This experience has led me to believe that the TPACK model needed to be expanded, to include both our spaces (physical and electronic) as well as how we divide time in addition to the components of TPACK (Content, Pedagogy, and Technology).
In this session, we will discuss the various components and brainstorm ways to define this new framework as it relates to 21st Century learning and global education.
