Dear GEC Members,

Here are a few reminders on how you can get involved with upcoming GEC events!

1) The Great Global Project Challenge Reminder
For those non-profit K12 teachers who submitted projects by December 1, there is a form that you need to fill out by April 15th in order to complete the GGPC process. Email Lucy as soon as possible if you need the form re-sent to you at lucy@lucygrayconsulting.com. If you do not submit this form, you will not be eligible for the grant opportunity.

2) Global Leadership Week - April 24-28
How can we encourage others to get involved with global education? Consider serving as a leader and advocate for global education during our week long online celebration. We have a few events on our calendar, but we are in need more projects that will encourage global action through leadership by students, educators, and/or organizations. See this page for directions and ideas: http://www.globaledleadership.com/host-an-event.html. Keep it simple!

We are looking for media outreach partners for GLW. If your organization can publicize events to a large network, please let us know.

3) The Global Leadership Summit - April 24th
If you are located in New York City and would like to attend, please email Lucy for an invitation at lucy@lucygrayconsulting.com. This is only for people who will be in NYC on April 24th; travel arrangements are the sole responsibility of attendees.

4) The Global Education Fair - April 27th
This is a virtual "fair" for educators to learn more about tools, services, and programs related to global education. It is free to attend and free for individual educators to pitch individual projects. There are fees for non-profit and for-profit organizations. Consider this an opportunity for pitching your work to interested global educators!

Those presenting at the fair will develop a short video which we then will post in an online gallery. Then, GEF presenters will sign up for time slots for drop-in sessions with attendees. During these drop in sessions, presenters can give formal presentations or hold informal Q&A sessions. Sign up here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-global-education-fair-tickets-33147226246 and more details will be forthcoming.

5) Global Education Day at ISTE - June 25th
Registration has been open for a few weeks and we have had a strong response to this annual event. Make sure to reserve your space only if you will be in San Antonio in June: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/global-education-day-at-iste17-registration-32857974085. Again, travel arrangements are the sole responsibility of attendees.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns! Follow us on Twitter at @GlobalEdCon and using the hashtag #globaled17 to keep up with the latest global education news and resources.
