Full Session Description (as long as you would like): As classrooms become more diverse, students and teachers recognize the importance of understanding different cultures. Additionally, in today’s world of a globally-interdependent economy, students need to know how to think innovatively, critically, and with a global perspective. By providing global education experiences through digitally connected classrooms, it will give students the opportunity to not only learn about other cultures but to learn with students from other cultures. How can school leaders help prepare teachers for this shift in mindset to bring down the walls of their classroom and invite in other cultures to be a part of the learning? In this session, we will share the impact of the mindset of the school leaders, strategies to prepare teachers for this shift, and tools that can be used to implement a globally-connected classroom.
