Short Session Description (one line): Learn how to create, publish & share academic EBOOK yearbooks documenting student collaborative work
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
Make this the year of eBook PUBLISHING in your classroom, not just eBook reading! Free, multi-platform tools like Calibre and Sigil can be used to create eBooks of student work. An eBook is a wonderful way to document and share learning from a global collaborative project! Throughout the year, teachers and students should document learning with a variety of tools to create online digital portfolios. These websites should include work incorporating digital text, images, audio and video. These media artifacts can be collected and republished as downloadable, multimedia eBooks including images, hyperlinks, and even audio/video. In this session we'll explore how to get started publishing eBook yearbooks of student work, and specifically focus on how GLOBAL COLLABORATIONS can and should be highlighted in academic eBook yearbooks.
