Dear GEC Community -
Here's a December update with important reminders for our members.
Check out the Great Global Project Challenge. The deadline for project submissions has passed, but you and your students can still join a variety of projects that are taking place between now and April. Contact individual project designers if you have questions about specific projects. There are several starting in January.

If you would like to receive a certificate for participating in our November conference, you must play the GEC Connect Game from Chrome Warrior. The deadline for this is December 31, 2016. Lucy will be sending out certificates then.

We were in Paris! Co-chairs Lucy Gray and Steve Hargadon attending the Paris Conference on Global Education: Towards a World of Solidarity on November 28th. Many thanks to GENE for inviting us to this inspiring event. Read about our adventures here and here.
Coming soon! We're starting to plan for 2017 and are excited to present new opportunities for global collaboration. A new webinar series will take place starting in February and the GEC will be partnering with CoSN on their Symposium on Global Competencies in April. Global Leadership Week is also on the horizon as well as Global Education Day at the ISTE conference in San Antonio, Texas. Look for more details soon!
Finally, we wish you peace, health, and happiness in the coming New Year. Our collective global education work has never been more needed; we look forward to continuing our work with this community. Together, we can do more.
Thank you,
Lucy Gray
