Full Session Description (as long as you would like): This session will focus on how to build a Global Issues course curriculum, using the model developed by the Online School for Girls. We will investigate how OSG has built a successful course with a heavy emphasis on communication, technology, collaboration, and service to others. Learn how to create curriculum that develops important 21st century skills, as well as knowledge. Students will gain confidence to construct and deliver sound arguments, to take part in vigorous discussions, and to propose solutions to vexing global problems. This session will examine how an online course was created in the context of building a successful traditional 'brick-and-mortar' or blended course.
