Real world ideas and resources for helping your students develop global mindfulness
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
This session focuses on ways in which secondary educators can help their students to gain knowledge about globalization and to develop attitudes of global mindfulness using a framework that links the practices of science (i. e. what scientists do in the process of science--for instance asking questions, theorizing, and presenting and arguing points) with the teaching of science (i. e. how teachers present and implement the practices of science in the classroom). Real world ideas and resources will be presented to assist the educator to teach at the intersection of the global economy, the global environment, personal responsibility and ethical actions.
