Full Session Description (as long as you would like): This session will show the process followed by students at Mother of Mercy School in Argentina to create digital narratives on topics of global interest.

As a teacher my experience started with an online course with teachers from around the world in the EFL Youth Voices project leaded by a teacher from Moldova. Students are working in teams of global partners so drafts of final products will be reviewed with a global eye before final products are created and shared.

Although the course proposed participants teachers to work on four topics of global relevance, namely, gender equality, tolerance, environment protection and active citizenship, I decided to encourage my students to choose a topic considering UNESCO goals for sustainable development. Once the topics were chosen, they were placed under the right category for the moment of sharing them.

Taking into account that storytelling can be a way of teaching, my students were asked to do research on the topic chosen as backgroung knowledge for their media. They were asked to find causes, consequences and possible solutions of the topics they were going to deal with. They created charts in Popplet to organize the information found.

As I did with my students I will show how the seven elements of digital storytelling should be tackled before asking students to create a digital narative and I will share with the audience some of the videos posted by students from around the world for these elements to be analyzed. This step was done as a stepping stone for their own productions.

By this time as students were closer to create their media pieces, they introduced themsleves in the forum to share the topic of their projects with their global peers that were going to review their products later. The fact that they had an audience in mind increased their responsibility for the products they were working on. Therefore, I will remind the participants in this session of the benefits of creating thinking about real communication of ideas to real recipients.

This session will end showing some of the products created by students and I will share with other educators what was assessed at the end of this global project on media literacy as well as how global collaboration had a positive effect on students' work
