Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
If you are thinking of pursuing e-learning, the first thing you
must dive into is Content. Ask yourself: Do I own digital content? Do I have
access to digital content?
Content targeted for an e-learning environment must be more
than handouts or lecture notes in PDF form. Traditional text content must be
"translated" to a digital form that can be accessible online, from a
mobile device, or from a portable storage device. Content must be in
re-presented in visual-auditory forms to engage students in short interactive
episodes. Examples must be relevant and set in local contexts. Assessment must
be provided frequently to check for learning. Ultimately, E-learning must
provide a "new" learning experience students will want to come back
for more.
This presentation shows our recommendations on instructional
design methodology, media, team roles and competencies for digital content
development projects.
