Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

This conference will explain how a real world project base on the refugees crisis is preparing students for global citizenship :

  • by providing ways for students to build empathy,

  • by creating opportunity for students act with others on a 'real' issue and for collective goal,

  • by increasing awareness and understanding of cultural diversity,

  • by helping the development of a personal ethic (p.e. classrooms activities exploring the golden Rule in various cultural & religious background)

We will illustrate how a real world projects help student to make connections which increase their capacity to understand today's world complexity

Finally we will see how teachers from schools in France, Canada and Ireland share and learn from each others through Run This Way program.
