Integrating technology and research projects into the English as a foreign language (EFL) class for the purpose of improving student writing.
Integrating technology into the English as a foreign language (EFL) class for the purpose of improving student writing via research projects using Moodle and Google docs (word doc, survey forms, PowerPoint presentations). Most high school and college students find writing essays in a foreign language such as English very challenging. No matter how motivated students may be, first language seems to interfere with the writing process and result in sentences that resemble their first language (Lekova, 2010).  Students engagement in conducting research projects through technology provides added interest and a great deal of immersion in the target language.
