A globally competent student, according to the U.S. Department of Education, is one who “investigates the world, weighs perspectives, communicates effectively with diverse audiences, and takes action.” This session will explore authentic, ongoing opportunities for teachers to engage students in activities that will allow them to practice and develop these critical competencies. We’ll also explore how to easily enhance and safely transition your classroom discussions onto an authentic global stage to facilitate meaningful dialogue on topics across the curriculum with a diverse global community of their peers through WorldVuze.
