By conducting a qualitative research inviting the voice of university students and recent graduates regarding the teaching and learning English at tertiary level in Vietnam, this research aims to investigate the issue of enhancing English skills for university students in Vietnam. It is suggested that developing foreign language skills has become one of the key factors helping Vietnamese higher education faster its process of internationalisation and integration into the international academic community. However, with the current language teaching practices, the task of enhancing language capability for university students does not seem to be implemented successfully. There is a need to reconsider the aim and the focus of language teaching in language non-specialised universities, to create more cultural oriented and interactive language activities, and to allocate more time and resources to better address various needs in language teaching and learning at tertiary level.

If you would like your proposal to be considered for the 2012 Global Education conference, please make any changes by October 29th.

    • Hi Lucy,

It looks strange to me. On 15 october, I've made all necessary changes, I copied the format, filled in all required information and submitted it. After that i received an email from you starting with:

Thank you so much for your session proposal for the 2012 Global Education Conference! We're please to let you know that your submission has been accepted! Your proposal is now in the "accepted proposals" list on the website. Here are some important tasks for you.

Then, I already booked the time for presentation. However, now when I receive your mail and come back to this page, it does not seem that I did anything on 15 October. Could you please double check for me.

      Thanks, June

        June -

        Hi June -

We have not had any reports of technical difficulties, so I am not sure what happened here. However, we still need your proposal in the proper format.

I don't see your edits here at all, and you didn't reply to my last message. Please make your revisions today, and I'll move this back into the accepted category.

        Thanks,

        Lucy

        June,

Is it possible that you submitted another proposal instead of editing your original one? If you have two, delete the one that you are no long using.
