            This session is focused on selecting appropriate technology resources to support global online collaboration.  To best address diverse audiences online collaborative tools must be carefully selected.  The ideal solution utilizes cloud applications to best address the demands of a multi-platform operating environment, but there are additional aspects of the technology to consider.  In a truly global context there will likely be diversity in the financial resources available to different participants so open source or freeware applications are preferred in order to include participants of all economic levels.  Depending on the geographic location of different participants there may also be different access levels to the Internet, which means that flexible tools that allow participants to connect with either audio or video in order to optimize their bandwidth resources. In this session different technology tools will be presented and opportunities of utilizing technology to facilitate global collaboration will be discussed.
