Access to nutritious food is a luxury unknown by approximately one billion people worldwide. A broken global food system continues to result in the lack of equal food distribution to the growing population. Across the globe, food prices are elevated. And at a time when more than one in four people are living on less than $1.25 a day, there can be no doubt about the seriousness of needing to reexamine how to adequately feed the world.
Presented by The University of Chicago Center for International Studies. Co-sponsored by the Program on the Global Environment, the Global Health Initiative, the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, and the Center for East European and Russian Eurasian Studies.
