Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
"The aim of the Global Classroom is to inspire and enable new ways to share, learn and connect on a global scale. Bring the world into the classroom and the classroom into the world. Create link-ups to facilitate educational collaborations, where students engage with other students in a relevant & meaningful way.” This session will use a Kahoot - a game-based teaching and learning experience - to engage the audience with questions on best ways to link classrooms virtually. Triggered by the game, we will ask the audience to participate in a discussion on how to use technology to facilitate new forms of collaboration and learning between teachers on opposite sides of the world. We will use examples of several teachers who have had great success bringing their classes together to share cultures and ideas.

Tavi, Kahoot is a for profit company, correct?
Hi Lucy,
Kahoot will be a for-profit company, at present we are a funded startup but we may also have charitable branches. However, we have made the commitment that our product will always be free for teachers to use.
Thanks,
Tavi
Sorry, Tavi.... as stated in the call for proposals, for profits must be sponsors of the conference to present. This is our policy regardless of whether or not a product is free. If you need more information about this, please let me know.
