Sustainability and Environment
One global issue that demands immediate attention is how to balance societal and environmental health. This course explores a contemporary ‘state of the planet’ across ecological concerns. Students will analyze current IGO, NGO, governmental and community-based organizations’ work to address global environmental concerns on a local, regional, national, and global scale.
Discussion Leadership for Global Competence
Do you want to strengthen your ability to facilitate meaningful discussions in your classroom? This course covers a number of methods—including “Socratic” seminars and Structured Academic Controversies—and the tools to choose, structure, and facilitate discussions that help students articulate, understand, and value multiple perspectives.
