The Global Education Collaborative membership is growing by leaps and bounds! The 2010 Global Education Conference Update
Steve Hargadon of Classroom 2.0 and I are co-chairs of a free and completely online conference focused on global education. This event will take place using the Elluminate video conferencing platform during the week of November 15-19.
Project proposals are now being accepted through November 1, and we will start sending notifications of acceptance around October 1. Proposals should NOT focus on general education, but on topics related to global education. We are interested in presentations that relate to helping students develop essential global competencies and that guide teachers in globalizing their curricula. Non-profits doing work to promote global understanding and social change are also encouraged to share their work.
Partners are also sought for the conference. There is no financial obligation; we need organizations simply to help us get the word out about the event. In return for such help, partners will be listed on our web site, and will have a block of sessions for speakers of their choosing.
