Short Session Description (one line):
Come discover practical ways and new ideas for bringing global education to the center of K-12 teaching and learning.
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
In many schools, global education remains a marginal concept that is rarely integrated across the curriculum. Although global festivals and celebrations are one way of bringing the world to students, these activities remain disconnected from meaningful student learning, placing global content on the periphery of K-12 education. In this session, participants will explore a framework for effective global education integration in schools. Case studies will be used to show how global content, multiple perspectives, and 21st century learning are central and core to everything we do with students. Additionally, participants will walk away with creative ideas and strategies that can be immediately implemented at the classroom, school, or district level.
