Thanks for GEC member Carolyn Foote for mentioning the Global Education Conference as one of the many venues for discussing and learning about best practices in education. I, too, often feel like similar events and places of learning are often overlooked, that teachers' voices are not heard. The people who participate in our global education conference are the real movers and shakers, in my opinion, in improving education and we must bridge the widening gap between practitioners and policy makers/edu-innovators.
